Wear Yellow

I love this commercial.

After you watch it, go here and buy the wristband. Support the Lance Armstrong Foundation. There's also caps and shirts and all kinds of things.

An A-Rod Quarter

I honestly don't know what to say about this. I saw the commercial last night during the basketball game.

"Today history is being made! The National Collector’s Mint announces the limited advance release of 5,000 special NY State “ARod” Quarters honoring the American League’s MVP and the next “Pride of the Yankees,” Alex Rodriguez.
Born in New York, A-Rod returns to help the New York Yankees baseball team win another World Championship. Last year he led the American League in runs, home runs and slugging percentage. So, all Yankee fans expect a World Series victory in 2004."

An A-Rod quarter. They're making quarters with A-Rod's head on them. If you act now, you can find out how to get a special Derek Jeter Quarter free with your purchase.

In other baseball news, Randy Johnson, at age 40, pitched a perfect game last night. This was the 15th* perfect game in the last 100 years.

*There are a few games that some people count as perfect games for various reasons, but officially they don't count. The three most notable are:

In 1917, Babe Ruth walked the first batter of a game and then got ejected for argueing with the umpire. Some reports say he punched him. Quite a temper on The Babe. Ernie Shore came in to pitch after Ruth's ejection. The runner was caught stealing, and Ernie retired all 26 batters he faced. So he was perfect, but he didn't face 27 batters even though all 27 outs were made with him on the mound.
